Millions of years ago, it underwent major geological and glaciological transformations which created mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers. Today this region is home to an extensive variety of plants and animals, many of which are native to the area. The Tierra Patagonia Hotel is our base for exploring Patagonia. The hotel sits on a bluff where the vast pampas meet Lake Sarmiento, and enjoys a magnificent view of Torres del Paine peaks on the other side of the lake. Tierra Patagonia is an all inclusive program of excursions, meals and drinks. You can choose your arrival/departure from 4 to 8 Days to fit your schedule.

TIERRA PATAGONIA EXCURSIONS
The Tierra Patagonia excursions will take guests to see and experience the great beauty and fascinating life of Chilean Patagonia. With the help of our expert guides each guest will find the right outing depending on their interest and energy levels. We offer walks, hikes, climbs, horse-rides, and tours by van or vehicle. Difficulty levels are available from easy to very difficult. We offer excursions that are great for kids, too. There are half-day and full-day options. Excursions are led with a maximum of 8 people per guide, and all the necessary equipment.

ITINERARY (7 Day used as example)
DAY 1: ARRIVE TIERRA PATAGONIA LODGE
Arrive Punta Arenas airport, pickup and transfer to Tierra Patagonia in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park. The minibus journey is just under 4.5 - 5 hrs: The journey goes from Punta Arenas to Llanuras de Diana, taking in the vast Patagonia landscaper along 200 kilometers (124 miles) of paved road. From there, the 190 kilometers (118 miles) to Torres del Paine National Park is mainly along dirt roads. Arrive and settle into the comfortable Tierra Patagonia Lodge on the beautiful shores of Lago Pehoe and take in the spectacular Paine mountains. In the evening you will be briefed as the excursion options for tomorrow. (L,D)

DAY 7: DEPART TIERRA PATAGONIA LODGE
Morning departure transfer from Tierra Lodge to Punta Arenas (5 hrs) to connect with your ongoing flight (airport), Patagonia Cruise or Hotel downtown. Trip Extensions or Extra Night in Santiago also can be arranged. (B)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This adventure involves 5 days moderate to strenuous trekking/hiking. Trekking is generally moderate but we do cover some rugged trails. Good physical condition is required.

DEPARTURES:
Departures are setup to run on any day with as few as 2 passengers (8 maximum per group).
Price includes:
Free transfers between Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, or Cerro Castillo and Tierra Patagonia on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (days of week not listed will incur transfer charge as noted). All lodge accommodations. All meals + Open Bar for domestic brands (excluding premium wines and liquor). Two half day excursions or one full day excursion in Patagonia, with bilingual naturalist guide, equipment, boats, horses, vehicles, and food.
Not included:
International or In Country flights*. Meals not noted, Spa treatments. Hiking boots and other personal gear. Personal expenses (tips and gratuities, medical, insurance, laundry, airport taxes, etc.).

Santiago Services:
All trips start and end in Punta Arenas. Overnight Santiago Hotel/Transfer package are available.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Accommodations:
Just outside the eastern boundary of Torres del Paine National Park, lodging is at Tierra Patagonia Lodge. Inspired by the forms of the wind and waves, the organic design of the hotel architecture and interiors radiate an ambiance of Patagonian warmth and comfort. Large windows give excellent views from all public spaces and 40 guest rooms. Hotel facilities include living room, bar, dining area, guides’ presentation room, library, TV lounge, indoor pool, indoor & outdoor Jacuzzi and full Uma Spa. Guest rooms have lovely bedding and bathrooms with amenities by L’Occitaine. A large, always-lit fireplace welcomes guests in true Patagonian style.
Family Rooms:
The hotel has six family rooms which are made up of 2 interconnecting rooms, each with their own bathroom. They are for 4-6 people. (Children and young adults aged 4-17 in a Family Room pay the child or young adult rate. Adults pay the adult rate and a 10% surcharge. At least 2 passengers per family room must pay the adult rate and 10% surcharge and the minimum fee for a family room is 4 paying guests). The hotel has two family rooms which are made up of three interconnecting rooms, each with their own bathroom. Children and young adults ages 4-17 pay the child or young adult rate. Adults pay adult rate and a 10% surcharge. Children under age four are free.
Child Rates:
Rates are not applicable on single rooms. Special rates for children accompanying their parents are subject to availability based on double, triple or quadruple occupancy. Extra bed for children (up to 17 years old) sharing their parents room. Maximum one extra bed per room.
Transfers:
Transfers to/from (Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales & Cerro Castillo - Argentina Border) are included if arriving before 5 pm (Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday) - 4D minimum stay. Arrival or departure on (Sunday / Monday / Thursday) will be subject to an additional $150 transfer charge per person.
Calafate transfers (to/from) can be made for $150 per person on (Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday) - 5D minimum stay.
