Tambopata Lodge Accommodations

TAMBOPATA STANDARD – Posada Amazonas Lodge (or similar)

Each elevated cabin structure was built combining traditional native architecture and materials (wood, palm fronds, wild cane and clay) with modern, low-impact, eco-lodge technology.

Rooms: Each cabin has a wall that opens to the jungle, 2 beds with mosquito netting, private bathroom and shower.

Services: Meals are served 3 times a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Posada Amazons has no electricity or hot water in the rooms. Light is provided by kerosene lanterns and camera batteries can be recharged in the kitchen.

 

TAMBOPATA SUPERIOR – Reserva Amazonica Lodge

Reserva Amazonica Lodge is within a private ecological reserve and research center of 10,000 hectares (24,710 acres). While offering spacious facilities, and well-equipped private cabins, the lodge guarantees guests an authentic, safe and comfortable stay in the rainforest, combining cozy accommodations with warm hospitality, a dedication to conservation and the opportunity to discover magnificent naturally camouflaged wildlife in the jungle.

Rooms: Rooms are palm thatched-roofs, wooden and rustic, built in the Amazon’s traditional Ese-Eja and Machiguenga styles. Each room is attractively furnished with log chairs, comfortable beds shrouded by mosquito netting and a small porch with two hammocks. The cabanas have no electricity, adding to the charm and authenticity.
