The Go South Difference
-
Experience - Founder, Troy Glennon travels extensively throughout Central and South America, both independently and as an
adventure tour leader. From this first hand knowledge, we design our adventures with experienced local operators who share our
commitment to personalized service and responsible tourism.
-
Value - No Hidden Costs - We have planned your adventure from touchdown to takeoff. This means that all ground transfers and transportation (bus, train, etc.) during your adventure are included in the Trip Cost.
-
Service - We are dedicated in helping put together the best trip for you. This can entail adding extension programs, combining tours, or customizing a trip to your special interests. While traveling in your chosen destination, our local expert guides and in country operators are committed to bringing out the best in your adventure.
-
Attitude - We believe our adventure destinations are to be explored, not invaded. From this perspective, we have sought to design trips that combine the spirit and freedom of independent travel with the cost advantages and camaraderie of small group adventures. Our trips have a maximum of 12 participants; this assures that we have a minimal impact not only on the wilderness areas we visit, but also the local cultures we encounter.
Small Group Adventures & Accommodations
Our standard adventures run on a regular schedule and are perfect for travelers who have a restricted time frame. They have a low 12-person group maximum and feature comfortable three star accommodations (4 & 5 star upgrades available). For those travelers with a more flexible schedule, Extra Days and Trip Extensions can be easily added for you to extend your adventure possibilities.
-
Custom Itineraries and Accommodations can also be arranged for private groups.
Go South Adventures Staff
Troy Glennon - Director
Troy has experienced South America from both sides of travel, as a solo adventurer and as a
group tour leader in Peru, Bolivia and Chile. He studied in Mexico and has a degree in
Spanish Literature and Culture from the University of Washington. He has traveled throughout
Western Europe, and continues to travel regularly to Central and South America. His passion and
experiences gained
from exploring Latin America is evident in each adventure that we offer.
"Moving from sitting in front of a campfire with fellow travelers, to sitting in front of a computer has
not been an easy transition for me. However, the desire to advance the dictates of "sustainable tourism" and promote its
development has proven to be both complex and extremely rewarding. Because I have received so much as a
traveler, "Adventure Travel" is where I have chosen to invest my passion and growing skill set. With each
passenger sent on an adventure, I feel we gain one more voice on behalf of saving and protecting wild places,
spaces and endangered cultures." - Troy
